Assistant Professor of Medical Communications and ESL
Emma Carlton is an Assistant Professor of Medical Communications and ESL.
Ms. Carlton majored in French and Spanish Studies before graduating in 2009, with honors, from Lancaster University in the U.K. Her extensive knowledge in these two languages have certainly aided her in teaching English as a Second Language in a number of countries including France and Argentina. Her in-depth knowledge of these two languages also affords her a deeper understanding of the struggles that Hispano and Franco speaking students may have, which serves to better help her students to learn English.
As well as teaching English as a Second Language in schools and colleges, Ms. Carlton has also offered her time voluntarily to develop and coordinate English courses with organizations such as Asociación Mapu in Esquel. She is constantly trying to widen her language knowledge. In addition to Spanish and French, she also speaks German and is currently learning Italian. Ms. Carlton strives to create an interactive learning environment for English students in order to encourage fluent, natural and grammatically correct English.
